In this presentation, Ken focuses on specific tools and techniques that he did not see used as often in the dog-training world as he saw in his work with exotic animals. These include, but are not limited to, the use of platforms for teaching stimulus control, the LRS (least-reinforcing scenario) for dealing with animal mistakes, multiple types of targeting for teaching of new skills faster, protected contact working with difficult animals, teaching an all-clear for scent-detection dogs, and the value of relationships in enhancing reinforcement possibilities.
